Completing Him: Week 3

I almost forgot about the Completing Him Challenge this week! As I said earlier, it's been a busy weekend, and I didn't even turn on my computer till late in the day. This week's challenge is to pray daily for our husbands:
Challenge: Print this list out and pray through this list daily. Also, do not forget to ask your husband each morning for any specific prayer requests he has for the day. I do this regularly and my husband always answers with a detailed situation he is concerned about. It's a blessing to pray for him and watch God work and answer. Our intimacy has grown through this and he always knows he has a prayer warrior in me. If you don't pray daily for him - who will?
Courtney recommends and quotes from The Power of a Praying® Wifeby Stormie O'Martian. I have this book, but I haven't read it in quite a while. I think I'll get it out and pray through the 30 Days of Praying for Your Husband once again. I'll begin that this week!

There are so many things we can pray for our husbands about. There are the "big" things, like those mentioned in the list in the book, but there are "smaller" things, too, that might apply only to your husband. For example, my husband told me about something over the weekend that bothers him, but I have no idea how to help him with. I was getting frustrated trying to think of a way to help him, and then, out of the blue, a little voice in my heart said, "Why not pray for him? The Lord knows him and knows exactly how to help him." So this morning I told Wes I was going to pray for him in that area. He raised his eyebrows and said, "That'll probably help!" The longer I'm married, the more I'm convinced that we can help our husbands far more by praying for them than we can by yakking at them!

So how about it? Will you pray for your husband this week - or for the next month? It'll be interesting to see what the Lord will do for him - and you - as you pray daily for your husband!

  3. Yes, I was so happy when I finally got it through my thick skull that praying for my husband yielded much better results than my yakking. :)
