Latest Update on Kim

We have just heard that Kim came through today's surgery well, but she has several days of surgery ahead of her to keep cleaning out the infection. Her dad says there's a "glimmer of hope," but she's still in critical condition in ICU, and still on a ventilator. She is far from being out of the woods yet.

Thank you each one for your prayers for our friend! Please continue to pray for her!

  1. I have written Kim's name down and pray for her each time I come to my computer which is often. I cannot imagine what she must be thinking right now. How did this happen to me so quickly?

  2. Praying for Kim and her family. We met them on our last furlough and had dinner with them. Such a sweet family!

    1. Kim & Michael are great people, and Kim's parents are just fantastic too. Kim was my daughter's Sunday school teacher in Ft. Worth for a couple of years, and Kim's parents worked with us there for a while too.

  3. Kim is my aunt, and I'm only sixteen. It hasn't really hit me that my aunt will probly die from this horrible disease. Her kids and I are VERY close and I feel for them for my mom was also very close to her state. I have so much faith that God is gonna heal her that's blinded me from the fact that she very well may leave this earth. But I pray every moment that she survives. Please please pray for with your heart at His throne, not for me but the family. Thank you for reading this. God bless you.

    1. Dear Stephanie,

I've known your aunt for quite a while, and she is a fabulous lady. We're praying constantly for God's will . . . and we hope that God's will will be her survival. I was just 16 when my mother passed away. It's a hard thing to lose someone you love so much, but I can promise you that God gives you the help you need as you take each step. But you can only take one step at a time. Trust God for each one; He'll be there!

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Please know that my readers and I are holding your aunt up constantly to the throne of grace!
