What a busy week we had during our Fall Revival . . . and then a busy day on Sunday!

Our revival was wonderful. Bro. Chovan preached a series of sermons on overcoming sin in our lives. Although I've heard much of what he said before, I learned several new applications this week. If you'd like to listen to the sermons, you can find them on our church home page shortly. I thought they were already there, but I see they're not. I'll let you know when they're up.

Our revival ended up going an extra night. We run our bus route on Wednesday nights, so our service is always shorter, in order to get the children home by 9:00, and many of our adults work either in the junior church class or on the bus, so our attendance in the main auditorium is low. Wes wanted as many people as possible to hear the final sermon of the week, so he added Thursday night.

Yesterday was a good day in church too. We had good attendance for both services. Wes and I went to fill in at Okanagan Valley Baptist Church in Vernon, BC, about an hour north of Kelowna. This church has been without a pastor for over a year, and there is a new pastor coming, but he is raising his mission support to be able to come. Our church and another one four hours away in Castlegar, BC, are filling in on alternate Sundays during the interim, so once a month Wes and I go there on Sunday afternoon between our services. It makes for a long day, but it's part of the ministry and our privilege to help the folks there.

The young couple from two hours away came again last night. Wes is making plans to start a mid-week Bible study near their town, which is an hour south of Kelowna. Please help us pray about this Bible study. There are several families there who want a fundamental Baptist church in their area, but it's just not possible right now. The Bible study would be a beginning for them. I can't stress how much we need men to come to Canada to pastor!

Wes is also beginning a weekly Bible study with a young couple tonight who have been visiting our church the past couple of weeks. They're a great couple, and I'm looking forward to seeing their growth in the Lord!

Hope you had a good week at your church too!
