We Did It!

After living in Canada for seven years, we finally filed for our permanent residence! It’s been a long time coming, and a hassle for the past couple of weeks, but Wes finished our papers this morning and we went together to the post office right after lunch to mail them. We ended up with a packet about an inch thick. We filed under a new program which is expedited for those who have worked or studied in Canada for at least two years. This filing class shortens the processing time by about half. We should have our permanent residence within the next year!

  1. Congratulations on getting the paperwork done and starting the process. I guess paperwork is a pain, no matter what country you are in!

  3. So glad you got your papers. There seems to be so much red tape on these matters. Blessings!

Barbara ~ We think it's pretty wonderful! ;)

Jennifer ~ It seems like it's been a terribly long process. So glad it's done.

Aliene ~ Yes, much red tape, but we don't have our papers yet - we've just sent the application (about 40 pages long) to get them! LOL
