We continued house-hunting this week. We saw a couple more condos.
We only looked at two units this week. We had honestly picked over all the ads so much that we only called about ads that had been newly placed. We were also getting a bit nervous, as the end of the month is today, and we have to give a 30-day notice to our current landlord.
The first condo was ok, but we didn’t really care for how the building was cared for, the area around the building, or for the view from our balcony: the back of a low-budget motel.
The second one we looked at was . . . perfect. It’s small, but not so small that we can’t make it work for us. Two bedrooms, two baths, a large kitchen with a walk-in pantry, a laundry room with full-size washer/dryer, a balcony, secure underground parking, a decent-size storage locker, a gym, and a guest suite on premises. For a price within our budget. This was Saturday, the 30th. The owner’s agent said she could run our references and a credit check in one day, and she could let us know something today, Sunday – the 31st.
The agent called today and said the owner would be happy to have us as renters. So we will sign the lease this week and be free to move in beginning the 25th of August.
All this to remind me that God always steps in right on time. I was sure we’d have to wait another month, but at the beginning of this month, we were sure God was leading us to look for housing now. Just when I thought we’d somehow gotten it all wrong . . . God moved in and worked it out. Why do I ever doubt?!?!
