Completing Him Summer Challenge

One of the goals for my blog has been to encourage women to be biblical wives. Notice I didn't say perfect wives, otherwise I would be disqualified from my own blog! I've been reading Courtney's blog, Women Living Well, for several months, and I like what I see. She's a young woman who is bold in her stand for biblical marriage and is doing a fantastic job teaching women to be the wives their husbands need (incidentally, I'd love to see some older women doing this - it's biblical!). I saw last week that Courtney was going to start a summer challenge, but I didn't get to look at it closely until we got home from our weekend getaway. Once again, I like what I see, so I'm joining in her summer Completing Him Challenge. I would love to see other wives join in (she has 104 listed already!). It runs from this past Monday, June 7th, through August 9th. Each Monday, Courtney will post a challenge for us that will help us meet our own husband's needs; you can see the schedule of weekly topics here. I plan to follow these challenges and write about them here as much as I can. Some topics may be too personal and will only be shared with my husband!

I feel kind of like Billy Sunday when he was challenged by a man who said America has yet to see what one man, fully surrendered to God, can do: Sunday wanted to be that man. What would happen in our homes and churches if we ladies were to be totally surrendered to being the wives our husbands need? Will you join me and these other ladies in Courtney's challenge?

  1. Hi Susan. Thank you for visiting my blog. It is so nice to "meet" you and I do hope we will get to know each other better. Maybe it is just me but meek and mild submission has never been my strong suit so I can use all the help I can get☺. I will definately check out this challenge.

  2. Hi, Char! I think you'll enjoy the challenge. I am not so mild at times myself, but God doesn't give us a command that we can't obey. "Meek and quiet spirit" doesn't mean mousey little servant girl either! :) It has more to do with attitude and surrender to the Lord.
