I saw this at Apples of Gold today and thought it was fun. I do a lot of these bloggy things that I never put on here, but this one tickled my fancy. It seems that I have a fairly unique name, and I like that!

    Deby, this was a fun one. I kept trying names of people I know, just for the fun of it. Except for my good friend, Margaret, below . . .

    Margaret, I just had to laugh. I never thought of your name being such a common one. Then I just smacked my head - duh! LOL It's a name that brings sweet memories to mind.

Building An Effective Scripture Journal

Have you ever had a dream that you were witnessing to someone, and you turned to a familiar passage of Scripture, only to find it missing from your Bible? No matter how much you searched for it, it just wasn't there? No? Maybe I'm the only one who has had a dream like that, but maybe in real life, you've wondered where to find a certain Scripture for a specific problem, but you couldn't remember where to find it. Yes, there are concordances to look up key words, but it would be nice if you just had your own topical reference so you could look up Scripture passages that mean the most to you and the issues you face in daily life. I reviewed the book What Do I Know about My God? by Mardi Collier several weeks ago. I am convinced this is the best book I've ever read on making God and His Word real in your life. I first saw this several months ago on Jessica's Journal , who found it at Amy's Place , and I knew I wanted to do it here. I'm just now getting to it. They don't call me the Queen of Procrastination for nothing! Please feel free to join me in this meme. If you do, leave a comment and let me know. I'd love to read about your Bible too! 1) How old is your Bible? Almost 9 years old; Wes gave it to me for my birthday in 2000. 2) Why did you choose this Bible? I wanted a wide-margin Bible so I could take sermon notes in it, and I wanted one with no notes or cross-references so I could make my own.
