Blogging for Books!

What could be better than receiving new books for free and then blogging about them? That's what I get to do! I've been accepted as a reviewer for Mind & Media, to blog for books. They receive books from the publishers to distribute to reviewers, who in turn read them and post reviews on their blogs. I thought this was a wonderful opportunity to do two things that I love - read and blog - and I get to keep the books!

  1. Oh that's neat! I looked into it a few days ago, but when they said they preferred you to have 1000 hits a day for your blog, I figured they wouldn't want me with my average 25 hits a day. How many hits a day do you have on your blog?

  2. I blog for Mind & Media, too. Tammy, I don't get 1000 a day either. I get 1000 a week and, when I signed up, I only got 100 a month, but they took me anyway. I think they're pickier about people actually reading and reviewing the books in a timely manner.

That is too neat! I'm going to have to check that out! Thanks for posting the information.

  4. Tammy and Mrs. HH, the requirement is 1,000 hits a MONTH!!! I went back and checked to make sure; I thought it was only a month, but since both of you said per day, I had to make sure.

Tammy, I get about 40 unique visitors a day - over 1,200 visitors last month - sometimes more, sometimes less. Stacy did request that I try to increase my traffic, which I will, but I'm glad she approved me.

Mrs. HH, yours is the place I first saw the Blog for Books logo!
