Setting up Curriculum

As I was setting up the kids' curriculum on the computer last night, Samuel, our oldest, came in to see how I was doing. Because we are schooling through our sending church's school, Samuel will be graduating with the seniors there next May. Our calendar runs through June. So Samuel asked if he could try to be finished by mid-May, when graduation will take place. I rearranged his student calendar, found that it didn't pile his work up excessively, and he's all set to finish school on May 18. This boy is excited! LOL And I'm a pretty pleased Mama that he has the determination to finish a full month ahead of his brother and sister so that he can be truly finished with school when he marches.

  2. We're using a combo with Samuel this year - Switched on Schoolhouse for Language Arts and History, Alpha Omega Consumer Math, ACE Music elective, Bible Doctrines for Bible. He has all his Science credits, so he's glad not to have that this year!

Andrew is doing SOS Language, Science, and History, Saxon Math, ABC's of Christian Maturity for Bible, and Dreamweaver (computer programming) for his elective.

Beth is SOS for everyting except Bible, and she's doing the Christian Maturity course for that, too.

  4. Nikki, he's going to stay home a year and get some on-the-job training, so to speak. He's called into missions, so working in a mission church will be valuable experience (his dad said that!). He'll also work as much as he can to save money for college. His plans right now for college are to go to West Coast Baptist College in the fall of 2007.

Oh Susan that is so neat!!!! I am praying for your son. I'm kinda partial to the missionaries coming out of West Coast myself! Hee hee!
For those who don't know, I'm married to one.
